This Florida native orchid is often refereed to as the cigar orchid. These can flower as shot as 6 inches when grown in high sunlight, but will grow taller when grown in bright light. That is backwards of most orchids. The plant is semi-deciduous and old canes will often be leafless. These plants are 5-6 inch bulbs with spikes growing to 12-16 inches.
