Grammatophyllum are some of the largest growing orchids. Scriptum is a medium size orchid of this group. The leaves are 2-3 feet and the flower spikes easily reach 3 feet. Each flower is the size of a half dooller and 60-120 flowers will cover each spike. The leopard pattern cariety blooms in the spring whereas the citrinum color variety blooms late summer They like medium high light and lots of water. They flower in four-inch pots if kept very pot bound. They grow extremely fast if re-potted into larger and larger pots. However, the rapid growth can slow down flowering. They may even skip a year.
